Members of the Youth Panel for the Empire, Faith & War project came together in Hounslow gurudwara's classroom annexe on 1st March for a series of workshops, including an Exhibition Interpretation session.
This was preceded by a History Baseline Workshop, where they learned about the scope of material discovered by our Project Historian and his band of merry Citizen Historians.
This was their chance to give their input and ideas and to help interpret all that varied source material for the forthcoming summer exhibition (see www.empirefaithwar.com/exhibition for details).
By getting young people involved at an early stage, we can ensure we keep the exhibition and indeed the entire project relevant and interesting for this hard-to-reach age group.
They didn't hold back - they gave their views and made difficult choices to help decide the exhibition content and presentation.
We welcome new volunteers and potential Citizen Historians so if you're aged under 25 (parental/guardian consent required under 16) please contact us and get involved. It will be fun and what's more it will look great on your CV.
